Dr. Kim Vuong is an optometrist specializing in low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Vuong provides primary eye care to patients at EYE-Q, including eye examinations, contact lenses, as well as the treatment and management of certain ocular diseases.
Dr. Vuong received her undergraduate degree in molecular cell biology from University of California, Berkeley, graduating magna cum laude with honors.
She received her Doctor of Optometry from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Vuong completed her residency in primary care and low vision at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System. She then went on to complete a two-year research fellowship studying the relationship between retinal anatomy and visual function in early age-related macular degeneration patients at the VA Boston Healthcare System.
As a native Californian and UC Berkeley alumna, Dr. Vuong is a fan of the 49ers, SF Giants and Cal Bears. She is an animal lover and an avid foodie who loves exploring out-of-the-way restaurants in search of the next amazing meal. In her spare time, Dr. Vuong enjoys doing crafts, reading, painting, cooking and traveling with her husband.
