It’s almost time for kids to head back to school, which means they will spend even MORE time on digital devices like smart phones, tablets and laptops. These devices can be great for helping kids learn, but it’s important to remember that they can also be detrimental to kids’ (and adults’) eyes! The American Optometric Association states that more than 83% of kids say that they spend more than 3 hours per day on a digital device. This can lead to Computer Vision Syndrome, also known as Digital Eye Strain. The eyes can get irritated and stressed after staring at any type of digital screen for too long.
