Over the past three years, EYE-Q Vision Care has been pleased to be able to establish a working relationship with Dr. George Bertolucci, Dr. Daniel Prescott, and Dr. Sumeer Thinda, providing coverage as needed. Starting July 2017, this relationship will be a full-time, ongoing partnership that will bring the very best of retina care to our patients and our community. Known together as Central Valley Retina Associates, Drs. Bertolucci, Prescott and Thinda will be providing high-quality retina services at EYE-Q Vision Care.
George Bertolucci, M.D. is a board-certified Fresno native, specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous. He received his medical degree from Creighton University, and completed a residency in ophthalmology at UC San Francisco – Fresno Medical Education Program. He then completed a comprehensive retina fellowship at the Retina-Vitreous Associates Medical Group, Los Angeles. Dr. Bertolucci is an investigator in many national trials for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration. As a part of the Central Valley Retina Associates, Dr. Bertolucci will be providing high-quality retina services at EYE-Q, as well as continuing his work at the California Eye Institute.
Daniel C. Prescott, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diseases of the retina and vitreous. After earning his bachelor’s degree in natural science from California State University, Fresno, Dr. Prescott went on to receive his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Prescott completed a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Kentucky, Louisville, and he practiced in Kentucky before deciding to come back home to serve the patients of the San Joaquin Valley. As a part of the Central Valley Retina Associates, Dr. Prescott will be providing high-quality retina services at EYE-Q, as well as continuing his work at the California Eye Institute. Dr. Prescott is married and lives in his childhood home in Northfork.
Sumeer Thinda, M.D. received his bachelor’s degree from University of California Riverside and his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He was part of the esteemed UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Thinda completed his residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee and his Fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of California, Davis which exposed him to the latest and most advanced treatments in retinal disease. As a part of the Central Valley Retina Associates, Dr. Thinda will be providing high-quality retina services at EYE-Q, as well as continuing his work at the California Eye Institute. Dr. Thinda’s hobbies and interests include weightlifting, snowboarding, tennis, building computers, console gaming, and spending time with family and friends. He is fluent in English and Punjabi and looks forward to serving patients in the Central Valley for many years to come.
