Sumeer Thinda, M.D. received his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Riverside and his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He was part of the esteemed UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Thinda completed his residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of California, Davis which exposed him to the latest and most advanced treatments in retinal disease.
As a part of the Central Valley Retina Associates, Dr. Thinda will be providing high-quality retina services at EYE-Q, as well as continuing his work at Eye Medical Center of Fresno. Dr. Thinda is the recipient of several research grants and has published numerous articles in leading scientific publications and medical journals. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Thinda’s hobbies and interests include weightlifting, snowboarding, tennis, building computers, console gaming, and spending time with family and friends. He is fluent in English and Punjabi and looks forward to serving patients in the Central Valley for many years to come.
